Artistry: Brush Set, mini re-do of Colour Palette (Magnetic make-up case)

Hey everyone!

I went to my Artistry representative just recently and I bought a new set of brushes, some eyeshadows, and ordered a few other products that I can't wait to show you guys and review.

Also, I decided to change my view on the magnetic makeup case so I wrote about that a bit more here again (click here for the full review of the case, I have decided to keep it as is)

Artistry Makeup Brushes

What it is: Set of brushes

Price: USD $59

The set consists of a powder, blush, eyeshadow, lash/brow, eye contour, eyeliner, and lip brush.

It comes in a black case.

Examining the stitches of the case, it was uneven and messed up in many parts

I do not like the case what so ever.

It takes ages try to get the magnetic clasps to close, and the design and way it was made is just disgusting to my eyes.

I will be buying a new case for the set because the case failed to impress me.

But this review isn't about the case, it is about the brushes, so here we go!

Powder Brush

For powder, I don't really use the Artistry powder blush much.

Reason being is I like a great, ultra soft kabuki brush for powder such as mineral powder, hard pressed powders, and a few other powders.

However, if you're going to be doing contouring, you might want to look at this brush.

It is a good brush, and it is soft.

The bristles are a bit too long for me personally to my liking, and if you brush it side to side instead of sweeping it, the bristles are kind of scraggly?

Otherwise, a nice brush.

Blush Brush

The blush brush and I have quite a history together....

My old brush I have used for the past 2-4 years, and it has served me well.

I compared the two together, and noticed a few differences.

Sorry for terrible picture quality

I only compared the current blush brush to the old one because I don't feel like reviewing the old brushes......

The older blush brush had a slightly more dome shaped with the bristles, it fans out slightly more, the bristles are slightly shorter in length to the new brush, and the handle is slightly longer.

However what I do love about the new brush is that the handle is slightly shorter, so more control, the handle is more of a golden color than the old plain wood color, and it is very soft in all directions.

I think I will enjoy this new brush very well as I did with the older version.

Eyeshadow Brush

The brush seems to pick up a moderate amount of eyeshadow, but not too much which I like.

I'll most likely use this for my shimmer shadows that I typically layer over eyeshadows.

The bristles are very soft, but firm so you have control.

I would recommend to use this brush for base colors or if you are sweeping it across your entire eyelids due to the width of the brush.

I personally will be using this often but not as much as the contouring brush due to how I put on eyeshadows (I use only on the lower half of my eyelids due to my eye shape)

Eyebrow/Lash Brush

I like to have a nice lash brush around that I can shape and bend for my eye shape.

I personally use lash brushes as a mascara wand and clean them after, but I know quite a few people just use it as an actual brush to separate eyelashes or use one to groom brows.

I don't groom my brows personally with a brush because I cut them in such a way they're short enough to not be groomed so... here is more of a mascara want point of view of the brush.

When I am in a rush, I will use a lash brush due to the precision of it if you can bend the actual brush part.

Mascara wands that come with the mascaras are terrible in many cases personally because they're typically straight, non bendable, and due to my eyeshape, the wand always hits my nose at one point often if I am rushing

I like this brush because I can bend it, and just in one single sweep, get all my lashes and go.

I also use this brush to apply lash conditioner, or separate my lashes after applying mascara.

It's a neat product, the handle is long so no need to worry about anything touching your face, and I personally love this product.

Eye Contour Brush

Possibly my favorite brush from the entire set, the width of the brush is small enough for me to apply eyeshadow in a single stroke and go off to wherever I need to go.

I do not like to wash my eyelids with color, thus, I like more precision and blending when it comes to eyeshadows.

The brush picks up a ton of color, so don't get too much, haha.

After you brush the color onto your lids as you wish, you can blend it out.

However, I also do use this brush for the occasional contouring (as the original intention of the brush) on the nose.

The brush is soft enough but firm for solid control.

I like the brush, and I do recommend it.

I just wish they sold it by itself, I'd buy so many, haha.

Eye Liner/Brow Brush

Brow wise, it's nice for precision and filling it.

As an eyeliner, it is more on the thicker side.

I can make thin and thick lines with the brush, and it is very soft on the eyes.

I like this brush as an overall brush.

Lip Brush

It is an ultra, thin, soft brush.

I do like this brush (is it funny that the last 4 brushes of the set are my favorite?) for good reasons.

It is very easy to apply color on the lips and it makes precise lines.

It's very firm so it will not bend and screw up your lipstick at the worst place and time.

I like how you can decide to use the cap as an extension to the brush or just use the brush.

The bullet shape caught my eye fairly quickly.

It is nice, compact, and easy to take around and just drop in your purse or pocket.

Great product.

Overall, the brush set is nice.

Is it worth the USD $59?

Well, considering the price of a good brush these days ($10-30) and adding it up, I personally think this is a nice set of brushes for an overall low price than buying them separately.

However some of the brushes I would gladly buy separately.

Besides a few minor faults, I find this is a wonderful set of brushes that you can use for many years if you keep good care of them.

Artistry Colour Palette

I know, I know.
I've already covered this product.
And most of the facts are still true in my opinion from my old review.
However I would like to say I have a turning point in this product.
I recently bought 2 new eyeshadows and ordered a few other things.
The colors you order directly from Artistry hold on very well to the case, and it is a very strong hold.
I tapped it and literally punched the back of my case and the eyeshadows did not fall out.
I have to say, I love this magnetic case now.

If you want to know the eyeshadow shades, feel free to just comment.

Only thing I still have a huge issue with is the dividers and their metal sheet backings.
I literally super glued those on now =_=
Makes me angry I had to do that still.

Also, you can only pretty much put in Artistry colors/colors from other companies with thick metal backings or it will not stick.
Otherwise.... it is definitely worth the price!

Lightweight
Useful to keep a good chunk of your make-up in one single palette
Can change the design/interior with the magnetic blocks/lines
Comes with nice labels to keep track of what you're using
Nice design with the clear view of your makeup and what's in it (I personally bought 2 for now, for warm colors and cool colors or whatever I feel like :D)
Great for those organizing freaks like me! ^-^


Dislikes:
Lightweight
The dividers/organizers
Did not like the clasp to open the case
Scared to drop it and have it shattered everywhere...
Not the strongest magnetic palette, just saying

I must say, to confused readers of the 2/3 ♥'s, I'm confused myself on this product.

I'm crying on the inside really.

There is no doubt that it is a great, wonderful idea, to put a magnetic sheet inside an empty case to put in all your make-up, eyeshadows, blush, whatever.

You can just stick whatever you need in it, and have it anywhere.

You can organize it however you feel like, there are dividers which you can use to further help organize your makeup into sections however fit you feel they should be.

Just one thing.

The product did not reach the expectations of the idea.

The two I bought, one is opened, other is not yet (or will be)

I personally bought two of these.

The box was simply marked with Artistry Colour Palette.

Can I say I love simplicity in designs, aka, why I love how Artistry packages everything?

Anyways, when it comes to organizing makeup I'm a mess.

I like to organize my shades, seasons, occasions, sparkle, matte, etc.

So you can tell everything is everywhere.

Aka, why I bought two palettes.

It'd be a great way to put some of my favorite key shadows or blushes together.

The palette has a nice look to it.

It's not a shiny black so it looks classy.

The case is a hard plastic unless I'm told otherwise.

The cover has a rectangle clear plastic to see everything in it with the words Artistry in the corner with gold (as most Artistry products are typically labeled).

For the clasp that opens and closes the case, I'm not exactly loving it.

I personally would had loved something like my Macbook Pro, heavy yet sturdy, but easy to open without fumbling to open it up.

To open, you press down, and then lift the cover up.

I don't know why, but I just don't like it.

But hey, a girl can't complain, as long as the makeup is secure, it's all good.

Fail tape, eyeshadow surrounded

One thing I absolutely want to rage about are the dividers/organizers.

The double sided tape they used to connect the plastic pieces with the metal sheet is TERRIBLE.

First thing I noticed when I opened up this palette is that the metal backings were separated from the plastic pieces, which made me ask the question, "Is this how it is supposed to be"

Obviously, it wasn't.

I'm going to have to superglue these or something, which makes me angry that I have to even in the first place.

Fail with the divider/organizers Amway, really.

Work on that.

I also am questioning the strength of the magnetic sheet.

I do not trust it at all what so ever if I were to accidentally flip this over.

I would not trust it to hold my makeup if I were to toss it into my bag and have it be on the go.

Unless I put some type of extremely thin foam or whatever on top (thus, ruin the entire point of the clear plastic to show the entire case) when I take it on the go, I don't trust it to be able to go with me anywhere, if, at all.

To test out the strength, I put in an eyeshadow from one of my Estée Lauder duos.

Eyeshadow alone, when I flipped it over and did a few things, it barely had even a chance to stick on.

When I surrounded it with dividers, it finally stayed on.

WIth a nail, I did the exact same test.

The nail stayed on for a much, much longer time and it held onto the magnetic sheet far better than the eyeshadow did for sure.

But it still fell off at random points.

I'm not sure if I should like this product or not.

However, I do have a few tips if you were to buy and use this.

Buy eyeshadows with a more thicker metal so it sticks better onto the magnetic sheet than a flimsy metal.

Get super glue, lots, and lots of it.

Kidding, just enough to glue on the metal sheets back onto the dividers/organizers.

Possibly buy metal sheets to cut up and stick under your eyeshadow/blush/etc 

(=___= Not. Happy. At all.)

To anybody from Amway, great idea with the magnetic sheet.

But in all honesty, fail product for its worth.

Will not be buying again unless I hear of improvements or changes in the strength of the magnetic sheet and that the dividers with the metal sheets are actually put together rather than just taped.

Seriously, I bought this product, I expected it to be nicer than if I were to make this at home.

Anyways, I'm thinking of going ghetto with this palette by buying a stronger magnetic sheet or something, rip out the one that is currently in it (unless it's fused together... then I'm screwed) and install a better sheet in it.

I'm really disappointed by how this palette had all the chances to be the top, but sunk.

Overall, I don't hate it or love it, but I like it.

Would I buy it again?

Heck yes if they changed it/upgraded it and it became better.

Else, I don't recommend buying more than one.

Test out one, see if you like it, if you don't, didn't waste too much, if you like it, good for you!

I recommend this for people with messy organization skills with makeup (like me) or people who would like to organize their makeup in a more simple/professional way.... yeah.

*sigh*

I'm so stuck with the rating for this really.

Sorry to those who are like "WTF girl, just give a straight yes or no on how you love/hate this product"

Review: Baby Lock Tempo Model BLTP

Actually, wait a second.

It's not completely a review yet (as of now).

I've unpacked it and set it up, but I have not as of yet actually started sewing.

I sewed a little with the machine at the place I bought this from, but that's not enough for a review obviously.

I'll have to actually sew more things and different fabrics until I can give a complete review.

For now until I update this, this will be just the unpacking of the machine, and my current thoughts!

Baby Lock Tempo Model BLTP

Here is the opening and setting up of the Baby Lock Tempo Model BLTP!

Well theres the box.....

Ew at the quality of the pick, it was so dim in my room for a while, so hot, yet the sky is dark... sucks.

When you first opened up the box, this is pretty much what you'll see right off the bat:

Took this one out... it's the attachable stitch guide thingy :P

The case, nice place to put extra tools and materials in on the side

In my opinion, the case was kind of bulky, just a tad bit too bulky for me.

But hey, as long as it works, shouldn't be a big deal with?

I finally got the sewing machine out at this point!

I unwrapped the machine and got the blue tape off.

(By the way, the foam under the presser foot was a pain to take out... ugh.

Slide the foam towards you, don't try to break it or you'll get foam everywhere inside the machine..

I ended up cleaning the machine after I broke the foam instead of trying to slide it out..

Opened this (icky) plastic pouch of random tools

After running around my room with random parts, I finally turned on the machine!

(I must have looked crazy, I was so excited)

It's on!! :D

About to thread the machine... here are the threads I bought.

I only bought a few just because I wasn't sure how much the total of everything would be..

Gonna go back and buy more :)

After messing around with the bobbin and everything, I finally threaded the machine! ^-^...

I definitely had to go through the instructor manual to thread the machine.

Different from other machines that I've used.

Bunneh's Thoughts

Well I definitely have to say it already seems like it has potential.

I like how the machine has a start/stop button so you don't have to attach the pedal.

(Though of course, I prefer pedal but the button is amusing me a lot)

There's also a button to raise the needle up or down.

Even though you have the pedal, there's a slider that can help moderate your speed.

The stitch system is electronic and there's the stitch length and zig zag as usual.

Theres the typical reverse button and the whole shenanigan.

Also a double needle button o_o

The sewing machine has a detachable case that is used for free arm.

I personally have a hard time opening the case but when you do, it has all your feed and everything in it.

Sewing machine came with a button hole feet and it worked great in the store I was in.

When I was threading it, I actually had some trouble.

I noticed there were lots of little places to cut the thread which confused me...

But ah well!

The needle threader kind of scared me personally... but I guess it is a lot easier than just doing it by hand (and stabbing your finger in the meantime with it)

So far, the machine seems good.

Now, I just have to find things to sew and finish this review.

The Contacts vs. Glasses Review/Guide:

Pros, Cons, Care, and Misc.

To be brief, I'll just say this.

This post is going to be a review/guide with my own experiences.
If you're here only to read which is better, this isn't the post for you.
There's always a convenient 'x' on either the left or right side of your browser :)

Both are great if you can use them, and I definitely do recommend both or either one of them.

(Then again, not like you have a choice either way)

But both serve different purposes, and both have their pros, and cons.

In this post, I'll also include how to keep care of either of them, and safety issues and more.

I do hope you guys stay safe with these.

Your eyes are important, and they're delicate.

If you screw them up, you're literally screwed probably for life.

Let's get going!

Bunneh's Eye History

For me, I got my first glasses 8 years ago.

I started messing around with colored contacts about 3-4 years ago, but I was really more of a collector rather than a user of them at the time.

I used contacts occasionally but I didn't really have long-term contacts.

Finally this year was really when I began to use long-term contact lenses.

My eyes are typically moist, without contacts or with contacts.

They once in a while get slightly dry, but otherwise my eyes are always moist.

I never use eye drops.

I should mention I have astigmatism.

Contacts

What they are: Lens you place on your eye

What Bunneh likes: No need to worry about glasses breaking or falling off your face!

Pros:

You can look anywhere and not lose sight of anything (like if you look up with glasses, its blurry)

Easy to put in (once you get the hang of it)

Typically comfortable or un-noticable

Can completely change your appearance

No need to have metal on your face

Less acne due to the frames of glasses

Easier to apply make-up with

Cons:

Can dry your eyes out

Can infect the eye if not taken care well of

Pain to take care of and watch over

Have to be careful with keeping care of them

Takes a good 3-5 minutes of your time to put them in, and again to take them out

Chance of infection is higher

 Left to right in order from  left to right.

I am currently using Air Optix for Astigmatism from Ciba Vision which came in a 6 month supply for left eye and right eye.
These are soft lens, not hard, so they can breathe.

You can even sleep in these lens in case you were so tired you just fell asleep right after school or work.
I have a bad habit of forgetting to take them out for days (don't do that... just saying.) because of that.
They're prescription so head over to your local optometrist and get your eye exam done!

Taking care of contacts

Well this one should seem easy to cover.

But its the one that many people don't follow, causing injuries, infections, etc.

I have to admit, I'm no angel either.

I break plenty of rules I should be doing with my contacts!

As long as you do at least the basics, you should be fine.

When you have contacts, you're going to need to clean them before you put them in your eyes, and after you take them out.

Do not use water with your contacts, ever!

Water has minerals and all sorts of things that will damage the contacts and can become a place where bacteria can easily grow and breed.

It should be obvious to never use saliva on your contacts, for heavens sake, it came from YOUR MOUTH, it's DISGUSTING AND UNHYGIENIC.

No, what you should use is solution made for contacts.

I personally have used 3 different solutions:

- Aquify Multi-Purpose Solution

- renu Fresh Multi-Purpose Solution

- Bio-True Multi-Purpose Solution

Out of those three, I personally found the Aquify more gentle with my eyes.

With renu it was not as gentle as Aquify was.

Bio-True is just an okay solution, it's not great but not bad.

 Self cleaner vial

Since we covered solutions, cases!

There are many types of cases.

There are the typical cases where you clean them out, fill them with solution, clean your own contacts, and all that other good stuff.

But there are other ways to store your contacts.

New technology lets vials/containers/cases clean your contacts for you by just popping your contacts into the case and then they just clean it for you! :)

I have a self cleaner one, which you can see at the left.

Though I like to use the normal typical cases still.

As with most contacts, what you would first do to handle contacts is wash your hands in warm/hot water and soap.

Make sure there is nothing on your hands that can get on your contacts.

Never put in contacts with unclean hands.

There is then an extremely high chance of infection.

Put your contact in your non-dominant hand and get 2-3 drops of solution on it.

(This is in the palm of your hands)

With a finger, lightly clean the lenses, making sure there is nothing on it (e.g fabric, icky eye build ups, etc), and rub them lightly.

Finally you can put them in.

It's okay to have them inside out, but it can sting or hurt.

When they are the correct way, it'll look like a perfect bowl, not lop-sided.

Repeat on the other eye.

Clean your case after use of contacts with sterile solutions or wash with really hot water and just air dry it.

Ask your doctor about how long you should have your contacts in.

Contacts typically range from under 8 hours and above.

It really depends on the lenses.

You might get lenses that you can sleep in (like I do) or you might just have typical lenses which you can't do that with... (and please don't.)

When you finally are ready to take your contacts out, wash your hands with warm water and soap again like earlier.

Like previously, put your contact in the non-dominant hand and put 2-3 drops of solution on it and rub, cleaning away proteins and other icky stuff from it.

Put the cleaned contacts in the correct side of the clean case.

Fill the case with solution and cap it off.

Repeat to the other eye/lens.

Misc.

Contacts are becoming more and more popular and more common these days.

The cost of contacts is lowering and its availability now is also a trend around many places around the world.

Colored contacts are available online for low prices, and it is opening up eyes around the world.

Personally, I love circle lens because they enlarge the eye and enhance it.

But that's just me, go around and experiment!

(Just make sure to read the reviews and make sure the sites are actually real)

For circle lens, I currently ordered from honeycolor.com personally.

I'm waiting to get mine in the mail now!

Glasses

What they are: Frames that hold (prescription) lenses

What Bunneh likes: Different styles, different shapes, etc!

Pros:

You can get pretty much any design you want out there (considering your budget)

Comes and goes with fashion trends

Can change how you look (good or bad)

Easy to put on

Is in trend currently

Can be considered "cute" or "sexy"

Any age group can easily use glasses.. well.. besides babies.

Cons:

No clear vision where the lens end (e.g looking up, sideways, etc)

Can break easily

Wrong frames can make you look like.... well you know....

Can enlarge parts of the face you did not want to enlarge (e.g nose, sharp cheekbones, etc)

Can look funny (e.g make eyes look abnormally huge, etc)

Gets in the way of sports

Glasses!

For the past... oh what is it now...

Nearly 3 years now, I've been using KLiink Denmark glasses.

I'm not sure what number/letters I should be looking at to identify the glasses I'm wearing though...

They're rectangle framed, dark black/olive color on the outside of the frame and green on the inside.

There's also this interesting metal twist on the outside of the frames as you can see in the first picture I provided.

Uhh yup.

Moving on.....

Taking care of glasses

Out of the two, glasses are by far the easiest to take care of.

The downside is if you make the fatal mistake of snapping/breaking them, you're screwed.

Really all you have to do with them is clean the lenses (I always lost the lenses fabric cleaner thing, so I used whatever shirt I was wearing...) and just make sure to clean off oils from your face.

You don't want to have a line of pimples around the area your glasses touch your face.

Just store them carefully in the case (most glasses come with a case) and you should be just fine.

That's really all there is to it really....

OH I should mention, be careful too.

If you're doing sports, you can easily get your glasses broken or get poked in the eye.

It hurts, trust me.

Misc.

Fail attempt at trying to look scene for a friend of mine.......

.... Awkward.. not cute....

Before, glasses used to be unpopular and used as a way to tease another person.

Those days are gone, or mostly gone at least.

Seriously, glasses are making a come back and they are seeeeexy on the runway.

Or really adorable/cute.
(Though they look terrible on me lol....)

There are so many frames you can choose from, and it's a long term deal.

Way longer than contacts.

To be honest, when I'm too lazy to have contacts in, I'll just go around the house in just a ponytail and glasses, it's extremely comfortable.

St. Ives Naturally Clear Apricot Scrub

St. Ives Naturally Clear Apricot Scrub for Blemish & Blackhead Control

What it is: An exfoliator

Bunneh's Rating: ♥♥♥♥

Pros:

Smell is pleasant

Actually works

Made pores smaller

Can see a difference with acne already after first or second use :)

Skin is left unbelievably soft

Cons:

If you over use product, not good for skin obviously

This is a great exfoliator for those who need to get rid of dead skin build up and diminish acne

When you remove dead skin, you also take off the layer that may have acne scars.

So, this is great if you want to diminish the appearance of acne scars and acne in general.

The scrub in general is grainy, and it has a nice texture to it.

First thing I noticed when I opened it up was the smell.

It smells very pleasant and just like apricots (kind of.. hehe)

After you use it, it tightens your pores and smooths your face.

Face looks brighter and more radiant after using :)

Oh, I'll also take better pictures and edit them in some other time..

Took these pictures quick on a cloudy/dark day with indoor light.

As I say with all exfoliators of any kind, only use at most once or twice a week max.

You want to get rid of the dead skin, not damage the new skin.

Before picture

With warm water, get your face wet for the scrub.

Onto your finger tips, put a good pea sized amount of it on and spread to your fingertips.

Spread the scrub around your face in small circular motions, avoiding the eye area of course.

After

Just do that all over your face, remembering your forehead and jaw.

Once it is dried, just wash it off in warm water, washing it off with circular motions.

After it is all washed off, splash your face with cold water to seal it off.

That way it closes your pores.

I have to say, this is a great exfoliator :)

A little does go a long way, and it should last you for months.

It contains 2% salicylic acid, for acne/pimples.

I find this is a good product that kills two birds with one stone.

I definitely recommend this product!

NAO (Never Accept Ordinary)

NAO Review

To give a brief introduction, NAO is a branch from Amway, whose main product line is Artistry.

Artistry tends to be more of the neutral side, just the everyday look or night time.

NAO, which stands for Never Accept Ordinary, is known for their wide range of colors, but they do have excellent neutral colors too.

I would have reviewed more products, but could not really find them....

Once I find my glitters, more eyeshadows and other various products, I'll make another review :)

(Do remind me to re-organize my make-up......)

I typically use NAO mostly for dance competitions, dances in general, parties, etc.

The color range is excellent and many of the products are long lasting!

So with this, here is the review!

Pros:

Colors are just stunning and bright and beautiful

Many varieties of colors

Can use colors in many different ways

Can double up or even triple up as a multi-use product

Cons:

Some colors are not as highly pigmented

Some colors seem to be too light and do not show up as well

I absolutely love this product. 

If not for some minor faults with a few colors, I would had given it a 4 ♥ rating.

It is very light on the skin.

When I put it on, it does not feel like I am putting anything on.

It's very light, nearly to the point of dusty/airy.

I have found many uses for the colors.

Shades left to right: Steam, Adore, Diffuse, Attract

You could very easily use Attract as a bronzer, an eyeshadow, and add it to your moisturizer to give you a dewy gold sun kissed look.

Attract has a golden shimmer to it, and I personally adore it. It comes out much more golden/lighter than the picture or the pigment looks like.

Diffuse can be used quite easily used in multiple ways too.

I personally like to dust it lightly on the cheeks as blush, on my eyes, and I even mix it with lip balms to make a shimmery pink color.

Adore is actually a matte color.

You could use it for contouring, eyeshadow, etc.

However, Steam is a very, very, light color.

It is possibly the reason why I have chosen to put this entire product as only 3 ♥

It is a very, very, light frost like color.

I did not like how the product appeared darker than it was.

I layered on Steam and it did not change much in color for me.

But other than that, I adore these pigments.

A little will last quite a long time.

If you're busy and only can use a few products due to time restrictions, I'd recommend this product.

NAO Eye Color Single

What it is: A single colored highly pigmented eyeshadow

Pros:

Very rich in color

Many color options

Comes in a small compact case

Have an excellent shimmer

Easy to use

Multi-use as eyeshadow or eyeliner

Cons:

There are many other competitors with better eyeshadows

My entire experience with this eyeshadow has been perfect.

These eyeshadows can be used by virtually anybody.

They're excellent for any make-up look.

A dancer could easily use any of these colors, a rebellious teenager could use these, they can be used to go in with the latest style, anything.

The colors typically have a slight shimmer to them that is excellent in photos.

Shades Frisky and Outlaw (excuse the smudges in outlaw XD)

I use this product mostly on dancers, due to how its long lasting and the color stays on them under the harsh bright lights.

Besides its uses as an eyeshadow, it can also double up as an eyeliner.

I typically wet the ends of an angled brush and use the eye color from there.

It's a great alternative to the typical black eyeliner look.

I'd recommend these eye colors to really anyone.

However, I do agree, there are better ones on the market.

But as far as I'm going with this cosmetic line, this is a very excellent product and does its job beyond what a typical eye color does.

NAO Shimmer Eye Pencil & Glitter Eye Pencil

What they are: Eye pencils with either shimmer or glitter

Pros:

Shimmer eye pencils excel at long lasting

The glitter is just so pretty!

Both pencils go on the eyes very easily

Many different color options for either pencils

Colors are perfect for spring and summer

Match many eye colors

Cons:

Glitter eye pencils do not last as long

The glitter in the eye pencil seems to go everywhere once you go through the day...

Have to be careful with sharpening to not break off an end (comes with its own eye pencil sharpener)

I absolutely adore these eyeliners.

It's fairly obvious I have an addiction to black eyeliner.

But I love to use these when I need an absolute break from black.

Or, I use these and my black eyeliner together!

I love how the texture is just creamy and glides on your eyelids.

I use these for extreme dances, it just does not come off.

However, a warning with the glitter eye pencils, once you put it on, it rubs off after a point.

Glitter will be literally all over your eye area....

As you can see, the glitter eye pencils came off almost completely.

The glitter spread everywhere when I was rubbing it to the shimmer eye pencils.

The shimmer eye colors are still there!

The color has gotten lighter/duller, but even after rubbing my wrist with a tissue, the colors remain there without smudging hardly.

I have to say, I love the shimmer eye pencils the most.

They are hard to take off (you WILL need a make-up remover to take them off).

Plus they don't smudge or hardly at all.

Water proof wise, I'm not quite sure.

I haven't really gotten in a situation where I get drenched with it on my eyes yet.

I mostly use it for dance competitions/showcases where you have to dance continuously for a long period of time and cannot afford to waste time with touching up on make-up.

But I highly recommend this product to anybody.

It is a great purchase in my opinion, and it does last you a long time.

Besides, its not like you're going to wear these every single day.... right?

Once I find more NAO products/order more, I'll write more reviews on NAO.

At least Amway (the company that owns Artistry and NAO) did something right for once.

Personally my favorite line from Amway for its quality and durability.

(Though.... don't smash the eye shadows on the ground..... just a warning...)
